On Top of the Alps

You'll be offering yourself a "ultimate" in biking - crossing an alpine pass is an experience that should be repeated again and again. From Annecy to Megève, then from Bourg d'Oisans to Briançon, the Alps most mythical passages will provide you with the best sensations every day.

Your Trip

Just for you... The Alps...

We'll have the pleasure of welcoming you in the late afternoon in Annecy - the "Savoyard Venice". Your Mondosport coach will provide you with details about your alpine route. You'll make final adjustments to your own bikes or rentals. Following dinner at the hotel, we'll enjoy a stroll in the narrow streets of Old Annecy going along the bridges and canals that run through the city as well as a visit along the lake.

Lake Annecy

We leave for a trip around the lake ; your coach will advise you on your position and shifting to give you the most pleasure pedaling. If necessary, we'll break into two groups of different levels.
Level 1: 65 km of small roads and bicycle trails around Lake Annecy. This majestic decor makes the lake a magnificent natural setting for this course.
Level 2: 100 km via the Leschaux passage (12 km 4% 900 m) then Forclaz (8 km 9 % 1150 m) with passages at 13 %, but there's an impregnable view overlooking Lake Annecy!
Our masseurs will be available at the hotel for your first massage. Dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Annecy - Megève

The heart of Alps, its great passages, its exceptional panoramas of the Mont Blanc Massif. We'll cross the Croix Fry passage (1467 m, 13 km, 7 %). Let the coach guide you in your choice of gears - pure bliss! Take advantage of the assistance vehicle to go back to the hotel or for the seasoned cyclists, we'll continue climbing up the Aravis passage (1487 m, 11.5 km, 5%). Descend into Megève via the Arondine Ravines.
A massage to help you recover awaits you at the hotel. Enjoy Megève's elegance - a village definitely worth seeing. Dinner at the hotel's restaurant.

Alpe d'Huez - a MYTH!

Following a transfer, you'll experience the great sensation of Alpe d'Huez's 21 bends and turns; the theater of many an exploit.
21 mythical turns.
A famous leg in the Tour de France, Alpe d'Huez and its turns constitute a major stage in the Grande Boucle passage. 21 roadsigns set the tempo for the cyclist's efforts with a countdown of 14 km on 1120m of slopes.
Roughly 300 cyclists climb this mythical mountain every day.
Then on the Lautaret passage (2058 m 34 km, 4 %), doorway to the Meridional Alps, we will cycle down to Briançon (102 km).
After all that effort, a treatment session with our physical therapists will provide you with a healthy recovery.

The Galibier - a GIANT !

The Galibier at the top of the Alps. (2646 m, 12 km, 7.4 %) After Lautaret, all you have to do is climb the giant. A frequent mountain pass in the Tour de France, it will surprise you with its grandiose panorama. Climbing it makes your part of the over 2500 m club! Your coach will be present to cheer you on and provide you with the best advice. On the way back, you can test yourself on the Granon 11 km mountain pass with an average slope of 9.5 % (105 km course) or head to Briançon (80 km). You've now become accustomed to the masseur's all-important recovery treatments. The coach will give you his final bits of advice before departure.

Check-up Médico-Sportif

Prior to your departure, we recommend going to a sports medicine centre for a stress test. A true test of your exercise level, this check-up will determine your limits and will be taken into consideration between you and your coach.

Coaching

You've set goals for yourself either for pure pleasure, for performance or to finish - we will stick by you to reach your goals together.
Three months prior to your departure, your MondoSport coach will define your exercise profile with you and propose a personalized training program with follow-up based on your sports medical check-up or interview.
The coach will accompany you during your trip, lead your excursions, and ensure your recovery as well as a trouble free race for you.

We will take good care of you. Inspired by the same care that's provided for elite athletes, your MondoSport travel trip includes recovery and relaxation massages.
After every sporting activity, you will be taken care of at your hotel by a professional masseur or physical therapist.
